Surgical Orthodontic Treatment of skeletal Class II malocclusion: Case Report

English abstract
A 41 years old woman, class II skeletal malocclusion with a mesodolicofacial pattern, Angle class II molar relationship, severe arch-length tooth-size discrepancy in lower arch and moderate tooth-size discrepancy in upper arch is presented. Due to the limitations in a compensatory orthodontic treatment, surgery with orthodontic treatment was decided to do. The treatment was extractions of the upper second and lower first premolars , a bimaxillary skeletal advancement and a three pieces maxilla.Spanish abstract
Apresenta-se o caso clínico de uma mulher de 41 anos, má oclusão esquelética classe II com padrão mesodolicofacial, relação molar classe II de Angle, discrepância dento-maxilar severa na arcada inferior e discrepância dento-maxilar moderada na arcada superior. Devido às limitações de um tratamento ortodôntico compensatório, optou-se pela cirurgia com tratamento ortodôntico. O tratamento consistiu na extração dos segundos pré-molares superiores e inferiores, avanço esquelético bimaxilar, tripartida maxilar.Download paper (PDF)
