In recent decades, and thanks to technological advances, mandibular dynamics recording methods have undergone constant development, going from being carried out in an analogical way to being carried out today with a completely digital sequence. This publication reviews the evolution that has taken place in this field in recent years, emphasizing the latest 4D Modjaw digital technology. The keys to the mandibular dynamics registry and the fundamental concepts to be taken into account to achieve optimal clinical results are detailed. Finally, a clinical case illustrated with Modjaw is presented where a FACE-type deprogramming splint has been used in order to resolve the patient's joint symptoms and a definitive treatment by orthodontics with FAS aligners.
