English abstract
The experience of 15 years of the FACE group in the use of corticotomies is reported with seven clinical cases treated in different orthodontic clinics. This adjunctive orthodontic procedure tis used in borderline cases where it is required to slightly exceed the biological limits in order to obtain the goals of treatment, without resorting to orthognathic surgery. Se expone la experiencia de 15 años del grupo FACE en el empleo de las corticotomías como coadyuvante al tratamiento ortodóncico, a través de siete casos clínicos tratados en diferentes clínicas de ortodoncia. Se indican en aquellos casos donde se requiere sobrepasar ligeramente los límites biológicos a fin de cumplir nuestros objetivos de tratamiento, sin tener que recurrir a la cirugía ortognática.
