I am Ambar Zalnieriunas an orthodontist from Venezuela and I want to thank FACE REVOLUTION for the opportunity to enjoy and learn , it has been an incredible experience for me, I find it great. It is an honor for me to be able to present a case. This case has a special value for its testimonial, it had been treated orthodontically for 7 years and the “solution” to her pains was to treat her with extractions. She arrived at the office expressing headaches 24/7 that forced her to be in the dark, hour after hour. After 5 days of using the splint her quality of life changed completely as her pain disappeared. In her interview she expresses this very clearly. Thanks to the splint we unmasked the true skeletal discrepancy and decided she needed orthognathic surgery. We performed a mandibular advancement and advance genioplasty and in order to avoid a LeFort maxillary procedure we did corticotomies and placed skeletal anchorage on the second quadrant.

Dear Colleagues! Today I present a case that demonstrates the consequences of making important decisions that will change the esthetics and the function of our patients. The enucleation has never been a popular procedure in Russia, nevertheless I was happy to meet parents, who believed in my Tx Plan. We are now finished with the first stage of Treatment and are waiting for the second one. Thanks to FACE for teaching me this valuable procedures🌼

Today I present a case where once again we talk about the EVOLUTION of SKELETAL ANCHORAGE…where in the past we used plates and screws today we substitute this for Retromolar/Pterigoide Anchorage. I share a case I treated 13 years ago and show the case 10 years post treatment. #occlusionmatters

Today, I’d like to present an interdisciplinary case, that emphasizes the need for a good planning and a good communication of the entire team involved through out the treatment process. The prosthodontic rehabilitation was carried out by Dan Lazar with the help of Jakab Daniel, the dental technician.

The EVOLUTION of Skeletal Anchorage…what we did in the past with Plates we can do today with mini screws….I present a TMJ case treated with plates more than 10 years ago….today we would treat the same case with the same results with upper retromolar screws. With these screws we can distalize an entire arch and intrude the back teeth simultaneously. These screws are less invasive, less expensive and easier to place. Soon our article(in press) on upper retromolar anchorage will appear where we show many cases. I will share the article with all of you soon #occlusionmatters

Today I present a challenging case of a young patient who is suffering from PROGRESSIVE CONDYLAR RESORPTION. After a thorough diagnosis we preceded to start treatment…have a look and hopefully enjoy #occlusionmatters

Hello members of Face revolution,
I am Luis Felipe Tavera from Morelia,Mexico.
I want to share my second case with all of you.
There are many patients that apparently turn out to be easy to treat or «routine» treatments, but in reality present more complications than one might imagine.
A thorough diagnosis is what allows us to identify slight facial asymmetries, which if not diagnosed in a timely manner, will cause serious problems during the mechanical treatment and its proper completion.

Hello everyone, today I would like to share with you some of the work that I like most. To connect orthodontics and composite rehabilitation. I love to join these two forces in order to be less invasive, to compensate some natural discrepancies and to think about the function and stability of my cases. Thank you Domingo Martin (Domingo Martín), Alberto Canabez (Alberto Canábez) and Iñigo Gomes (Iñigo Gómez Bollain) and also my mentor in Portugal Marcus Veiga for the knowledge and for introducing me to the FACE philosophy. This changed my way of planning, helping me, not only in “orthodontic thinking” but also to fully plan my cases, looking to my patients as a whole. Hope I’m up to the task 😅
Rafa Ecija
Our good friend Dr. Rafa Ecija won first prize in the Sanitas Premios Dental Star 2020 in the Best Clinical Multidisciplinary Case competition.
It was a national competition and there were dozens of cases presented and the five finalists had to defend their cases in front of a panel of experts.
After going through all these steps he came out victorious.
Congratulations RAFA. Today we are honored to present the winning case.

Hello everybody! Cases with dental attrition are always very difficult to treat. Correctly understanding the etiology of dental wear, through a correct diagnosis, we can offer our patients the best treatment alternative. Functional occlusion is always the key to long term stability and longevity of dental restorations. Best regards, from Romania!
