This patient was referred to my office by her dentist because she noticed her teeth were wearing down.

Dentist wanted me to solve the posterior crossbite (if it were possible) and achieve a stable condylar position before the restorative treatment.

Treatment consisted in recovering the arch forms and ideal dental proportions before the restoration of tooth wear

Corticotomies were necessary to modify the arch form and to solve the posterior crossbite.

Why are the veneers not broken? (By the way…she doesn´t wear splint at night).

Dear Friends, I am Jorge Ayala from Chile and I am pleased to present my first case on FACE Revolution Orthodontics, the case was treated in 2012 and in which the passive retraction of the upper incisors was done by the distal rotation of the first molars using the characteristics of our bracket prescription. Also in it, you can see, the importance of intratreatment mountings, of recementing brackets, and how we carry out and plan the finalization of the case.

to everyone who has presented their beautiful work and I hope my case will be of interest. When this beautiful girl presented to me with a mandibular asymmetry, unilateral cross bite and 3 years of headaches my initial impression was that she would require orthognathic surgery to resolve all of her issues. Luckily for my patient and I, we had already started our FACE journey and with the diagnostic skills and precision that the FACE teaching gives us the case and patients symptoms were resolved with the correct diagnosis, splint therapy, orthodontics and the help of one of my best restorative colleagues.

Dear Colleagues, I am Ana Inés Salto from Asunción Paraguay, I would like to thank you for being part of this Revolution. As an orthodontic student, I encouraged myself to show a case, which surely has a lot to improve, but I want to encourage other students as well. We are in love with this philosophy that changes our lives and most importantly, the lives of our patients forever.

CASE DESCRIPTION 

A 17-year-old female patient arrived at the office during her previous orthodontic treatment (extraction of 1.4) she began to have many headaches and neck pains. After orthodontics, the pains were accentuated.

The patient is not from Paraguay and he told me that he would return to his home country in 13 months. 

So I had less than a year to finish the case !!! When we saw the mounting we saw that the middle line was deviates due to tooth 4.1 geminated so we knew that we were going to leave the lower middle line to the right and not center the midlines.

He had a cross-bite on the right side that caused muscle imbalance and no functional guides. Overjet and overbite greatly diminished. The treatment plan was the extractions of 25, 35 and 44 and the spaces were starting to be closed the same day of the extractions. Also molar stops to get more overbite, decrease the lower third, increase and balance muscle forces.

We ended the case with reconstructions with composites

Total treatment lasted 12 months

Today she presents a case treated with ALIGNERS…. the FACE group is working with ALIGNERS and now developing a FACE ALIGNER SYSTEM which will help us achieve all the goals with ALIGNERS. We of course never lose sight of the goals nor the diagnostic process which continues to be complete. Dear Friends, I am honored to have been invited to post in this fantastic group. 

This young lady came to see me as she wasn’t happy with her current treatment which she had started a year and a half before with different orthodontist.

The FACE Philosophy gives us the ability to diagnose and treatment plan our cases in a very predictable and methodical way so that we can offer the best possible treatment to our patients. This is the essence of Goal Orientated Treatment.
